Removing rear brake drums

Post by garyfish »

I'm gonna do a rear brake job real soon. I need to acquire 2 bolts of the proper size to thread into the drums to facilitate drum removal. Does anybody know what the bolt thread size is?

M8 x 1.25

If you can find bolts that are about 3" long they will get the drums all the way off even if the shoes are really hung up on the drums. The bolts I was just using last week were just a tad short so I had to mess around with the shoe adjuster through the backing plate, and that sucks.
