they are really good off road and everything, but the engines are no toyota A-series, and they are really top heavy.
when running right they are really quick despite their small engine (1.3) and huge ass tires, alot faster than a tercel, thats for sure.
watch out for oil burners, expect to have to rebuild the engine at some point in time too.

those are actually good little vehicles.my buddy in TN cut the fenders out and put a little bigger mud tire on it and it would climb anything.i'd still put a solid axle under it .CAL-MINI makes a lot of off road stuff for them.watch for coolant leaks(cracks) in the sparkplug tubes.
there is only one jeep.and that is one too many!

Only the earliest ones had the same 1.3L as the older Samurai, after a few years they got a 1.6L. Both engines had throttle body injection. They were later given port injection along with 16-valve heads.Mac wrote:when running right they are really quick despite their small engine (1.3) and huge ass tires, alot faster than a tercel, thats for sure.
