the best part about having children is you get to buy and play with all the cool toys you wanted but your parents never did get for you when you were a child.
Other than that, the next best reason to have children is if you thought you were getting too much sleep.

Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart"
In remembrance of my friend ARCHINSTL:
T4WD augury?
"Oh, do not ask, 'What is it?' Let us go and make our visit."
T.S. Eliot - "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"
"Now and then we had a hope that, if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates."

So glad I grew up before the original age of cartoons slowly went away and the word hero was terribly diluted. Didn't take me long to think about the one that would likely be at the top of my "heroes" list. When it was still on the tube, I didn't know any other boys who wouldn't want to be Jonny Quest. Not a superhero show or all out fantasy situation like most others, more of a young Indiana Jones feel. Quite a bit less sanitized than most other cartoons, bad guys die, often in spectacular fashion- http://www.classicjq.com/info/lists/JQBadGuys.aspx . Liked most of the more mainstream formula hand drawn hero toons too, probably Thundarr the Barbarian the most. Demon dogs! how times have changed.
Not much on youtube other than this really good documentary- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kBDpI9 ... l&index=14
