Converting an auto trans to a stick shift - its possible!

All you gotta do is install the front half of the driveshaft, and you're good to go! (Trust me, I've done it.)

I am just about done cleaning up my manual transmission/front diff, ready to start piecing my car back together! I've still got the engine to do a little bit of a checkup/refresh on but that should be easy enough. Just replacing some gaskets etc.


Next tasks are to cut a hole in the firewall for the clutch cable guide/bushing piece, and to cut the holes in the tunnel for the two shift levers.

Holy moly, I love how clean that transmission is. Very pleasing to the eye.

It's funny, I've been thinking... if I had not spent all of these hours into cleaning that transmission, my crossmember and other parts, I could be done with the swap by now lol.
