I've been able to do some of my won mechanical work before, but for the life of me, I can't find the fuel filter on the 85 2 door. Can anyone tell me where it's located?

It SHOULD be down below the steering column right in front of the driver.

NOW...when you find the location of the horn....let us know! <_<

Behind the bumper on the drivers side below the headlight. Take off the radiator grille and look in there.
Thats where it is on my 86.

The horn I mean...

Look under the master cylinder a bit down in the engine bay and you should see a liitle round white-yellowish thing with 2 hoses coming out of it.

Its possible that a previous owner removed it and just clamped a connecting pipe in between?

Eatpants - interesting - on my '86 wagon, the filter is in the "usual" position - beneath the master cylinder, attached to the inner fender. It must be a little crowded on yours, what with the pump and the filter back there.
Carguylen - the AZ and FSM pics show it to be in the same position for all Tercels with the 3A-3AC engine. Could you actually have an '87+ with the 3E engine? The filter is not shown on this model. If you have an electric pump somewhere, could it be integral?
Maybe someone did remove it and "retube" it, as GTSSC suggested?
