I'm trying to think of somewhere to bolt in a second set of headlamps. I don't want to drill into the bumper... I'll have to get super creative here... I believe you can get a bucket assembly from a 95 jeep wrangler TJ with new (though cheap) sealed beams for $25 each... The 95 jeep has the same rectangle lights like our cars.

Thought I would contribute. Recently trucklite bought Rigid industries. So now two of the largest LED automotive lighting manufacturers are one company. The prices of their products has gone down considerably. I had bought the trucklite LED headlights for my 4Runner and loved the simple plug and play install. The improvement in light color and pattern are incredible. They are DOT approved and have a super straight cut off. No need to upgrade the harness and they have a much lower demand on the charging system. I'll try to get a good picture and post it.

I live in Seattle so I got them from a small local retailer called Amazon.com
It is half the price I paid for them when I supplied them for my 4Runner.

Dang, those look pretty sweet. They appear to be the Truck-Lite 27450C (forgive me if I am incorrect).

I ordered the AutoPal lights & relays mentioned upthread and received earlier this week. Still need to order TXL wire (14ga & 16ga), I was wondering how much/what lengths to get?

the simple headlight up grade is the easiest way to go, plug and play.

But one clever forum member found away to install aux lighting that still looked stock, he rewired the side marker lights to act as turn signal lights (the ones just outboard of the headlight), and than installed auxiliary high power fog lights in the recess under the bumper where the turn signals used to go. Nice set up, protected by the bumpers, and not as likely to be noticed and stolen.

there is a thread on how he did this in the archives.

Yikes! You really need to get those lamps adjusted properly, your high beams are overloading the foreground directly in front of your car (There shouldn't be any light directly in front of your car unless you've got fog lamps). That hot spot should be WAY down the road, where the orange street lamp light is in your photo.

They were a direct drop-in replacement.

I agree. I need to adjust them. I was reading up on how to aim headlights last night.

If you get a chance, could you get a picture of the beams against a wall? I'd like to see how sharp the beam cutoff is.
