just for interest's sake. 1100 cc engine! that's cool. and a 2-door wagon, so strange. must be a pain to get things into and out of the back, but it's neat.

The Datsun version is a 510 (came in 4 door sedan, wagon and uber-rare 2-door coupe) Amazing this one is still around, and yeah, 2 doors on a wagon?! But the 1st gen 4runners are the same, and a pain to get in and out of the back (unless the top is off)
260K with no end in sight....

The old chevy suburbans were kinda like that, if I remember correctly they only had a back door on one side, like the passenger side, and the ford pinto squire wagon (3rd car I owned) was a strict 4 seater, 2 door station wagon.
I just never imagined that toyota was importing this early!

It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.
