rear AXELS NEEDED L@R 1983
I need 2 rear axels for my 83 (condition of bearing doesnt mater,have 2 new on order ) Larry.

i believe the rear axles are interchangeable between all t4s, which surprised me when i found out. i don't really understand where the change in gear ratio actually occurs though so maybe this is not surprising to people who are in the know. anyway, i wound up putting the axles w/ bearings from an '84 manual trans in an '87 auto trans and the 4wd worked fine.

The ring and pinion gear is where the ratio is set the small spider gears inside the ring gear is where the axle pops into.
Anyone feel free to correct me or explain in more detail
