You can get a dye then use UV light or something.
You may be best off going to Midas if there is one near you. I'm going today. For $40 starting fee, they hook you up to a machine, evac the system, then charge it with freon and dye and see what it needs and where the leaks are.

to adjust the a/c belt you have to loosen the bolt in the center of the idler pulley (the one right below the alternator), I think it is 14mm as I recall. Than you adjust a long vertical bolt on the top of the braket and it slides the idler pulley mount up (it is 12mm as I recall), it is easiest to reach this vertical bolt with a long extension and a socket, you feed it down behind the alternator belt and the alt bracket. Once you have the belt tension correct remember to tighten the center bolt in the idler pulley to lock it in place.
it is easy to do once you understand this Rube Goldberg means of adjusting the a/c belt tension. We have a Mazda MPV that has like 5 separate belts on the front of the engine, and all of them adjust this way because there is no room to swing any of the belt driven components (alternator, power steering, ac, water pump, etc.), you can actually adjust the belts with the engine running if you are careful (but I do not recommend it).
