I am available for Aug 8-9, Aug 14-15, or aug 28-29. Any works for me.

I would prefer the first weekend in Aug, but The last one on 28-29 will do if more can make it. I have a family activity planned for Aug 21-22 so I can not come than.

I have commitments for every weekend until the 28th-29th, so that'd be my vote...

So far, everyone can do it on the last weekend in August. I can make that, too. Vote for your weekends if you haven't, and I'll check again in a couple days. It looks to me like the last weekend will be a go, but we'll see.

I just read in the local news paper that they finally clear the snow off the road to end of Mt. Baker hwy this last weekend. Amazing the road was still closed due to too much snow.

I vote we commemorate the event by driving our Tercels to the top of the Mt. Baker hwy (to Artist point) on August 28 for our meet, and have a snow ball fight in August to put on the Tercel forum! The top is about 5000 ft, it will be slow going in the Tercel, but I have done it before. A spectacular view and a great drive, even if it is a paved road. Just like being in the Alps.

@Petros,

We have some Bellingham list members, perhaps we could use their place as a starting point and "base camp". Any Bellingham members active?

Bellingham is the nearest large city, and it is just a short drive from Vancouver Canada, and a ferry ride from Victora for all our Canaidian list members in BC.

I'm so down for the Baker trip. I went to college at Western, so I know B-ham pretty well. My girlfriend lives up there right now, so I can kill two birds with one stone. The last weekend of August. Snowball fight!

Synth,
I hear you are the one holding the stickers. You should bring the different styles to the meet so I can pick a few out. I'll bring some extra cash for it.

So it looks like we are narrowing it down to August 28/29 (two weeks away!). Where are we going to meet?

Last time we started at the Arlington Pull-A-Part (about 45-60 min drive to the Mt. Baker hwy). But right now only has 3 Tercel wagons, 2 1986s, and a 1987, none are 4wd (there are some hatch backs too) but there is a lot of good parts on them. The Lynnwood Pull-A-part has 4 Tercel wagons, I think 2 are SR5 4wd (last time I checked both places). I think there is a similar yard up in Bellingham, but I do know anything about it or their inventory.

Any other ideas on where to meet?

Umm... I've been super busy.

No real input. Happy to just show up anywhere and hang with some good peeps and maybe do a bit of driving.

Sorry I can't be more help.

We are six days away from August 28th, do we have a roll call for how many are coming? Where do we want to meet?

So I totally wanted to do it this last weekend of August, but something has come up in my family. Sorry guys. Hopefully we can do a meet sometime here in the near future. My schedule is usually very open on the weekends.

here I am late on Friday night and only Snyth and I are signed up. So looks like a no-go. I have things to do this week end anyway, so I am officially calling the meet off .

Snyth, if you want to go to the Arlington Pull-A-part I will be happy to meet you there. I would like to see your new ride, perhaps you can come over for dinner after. PM me if you are game, I will check in the morning.

Perhaps we can reschedule for a fall meet, or even a snow meet.
