Amfibious tercel project

Hey, just a small, but important update. We decided to make adjustable stabilizing flotation elements(will use tha same as the orange in the front) on the side welded to the backseats lower frame. i just need some steel to put inside the square steel bars, some flat steel and some 2*5inch planks to attach the flotation elements.

today i tested everything, its perfect(eksept some leaks) and i made å sponsor mark on the hood,its the name of a local guys firm he makes metal stuff, and he has given us some metal and is a very nice guy!.

Any leaks? with the outriggers it would not be street legal, if might be if not for the other mods you have done. I would consider putting the outriggers on some kind of folding frame so they can be flipped up on the roof. when you get to the water's edge, you fold them down and insert some bolts or large pins to hold it in postion before you drive into the water.

yes some leaks still. street legal??! XD here in norway there is quite strict rules for a car to be street legal, and the frame on this terc is bendt thats why i took it off the road and started with the twin wheel projekt. i have tougth about that, but i'll rather weld some of the squere pipe vertical so i can put them inside there under transport(less work and not a risk of making the existing framesystem for the outriggers to weak).
and btw thanks for the replys everybody. i will poste more pics when i come home from my holliday to spain(two weeks without tercel or any projekt....) if my brother havent sunken the car by that time xD
