another thing occurred to me: what procedure are you using? Consider you will not be able to build a lot of pressure in the system if it is full of air. From a fully empty system you have a lot of pumping and bleeding to do, if you do not use good disapline in the bleeding procedure you will introduce air in to it again and again.
