What do you want for the sway bars? I had power steering lines shipped to a stateside friend. Creative packaging, but it was inexpensive. If the ends are in good shape I am interested too.

I think 50 plus freight is fair for a good swaybar.
3 of the 4 are still on their perspective part's car's. So I can't speak for their rate of decay I suspect there alright all but one are California cars

Marlinh, I did the swaybar bushings on the Pumpkin a few years back (2005 to be exact, I just dug up the receipt to find the part number for new collars). The sway bar seemed to be in good shape back then.
I'd be interested to know how the bar ends and bushings look now.
And, I just put the new sway bar end collars on the Tercedes. Have not driven it yet.

Yes, I used those bushings and sway bar. The bushings were worn some but worked. I have two sway bars kicking around that are 'necked'. Can't use them unless they get welded up and machined or find some good spares.
Pumpkin is still waiting for me to strip off the parts I want and then head off to the Tercel graveyard.

Glad to hear the sway bar and bushings were good. Those bushings sure cost enough back then.
I will be in the Koots again soon as I am working at Shambhala Aug 6-10. I might be able to swing past on my way back on the 10th. If I do, I could bring you those door panels.
I will keep you posted.

First off glad your alright. That sounds scary, Very tragic. Did your car's front end act any different before the sway bar broke? I plan on looking into this on my as soon as I can. My car front shakes at any speed over 55 just when I let off the gas any thoughts?
Once again that's for the heads up. Glad you're safe.

buzz,
that more likely is worn rubber parts, as well as possible ball joints and/or tie rod ends. All are easy and relatively low cost to replace, replace all that look qustionable. I also added some home made rubber washers for behind the rubber doughnut bush on the sway bar end to stiffen it up, and to pull the wheel forward a bit to increase the castor, stopped the shakes and make the steering more solid and stable.
