..."crepuscular"...doesn't sound so good..... ...must not be a way to avoid it though.
The alternative to avoiding it means no time for Tercels...or anything else, for that matter.....

I don't think they want you to ask that question.

Hmmm, how much have I spent?

$600 for my 2WD wagon, 7+ years ago.

3 sets of spark plugs through the years.

3 sets of tires: The first was $50 (wheels and all) from the junkyard. The second was about $150, and the last set cost me $128.

Junkyard driver's seat- $10.

New windshield last year- $129.

New Toyota pads last year- $33. AutoZone rotors- $10 each. Toyota shoes- about $30, $10 for a pair of junkyard drums, and $7 each for the wheel cylinders.

Lifetime rebuilt alternator- $39.

Lifetime rebuilt starter- $39.

Water pump- $19.

Rear struts- $70. Fronts- $20.

New CV halfshafts- $112 from Rock Auto. 2 remans from the 'Zone- $100

H4 headlights- $24

Reman Carb from ebay- $60 shipped

Valve seals and valve cover- $26.

There have been many little things as well, and some not so little. I have a remanufactured steering rack, A/C compressor, new drier and hoses, expansion valve, etc. I probably have close to $200 in all that. I bought a parts car some time back and used the radiator in my car. I made money on the parts, though, so that's more than a wash.

Not bad for 7 years and over 150k miles.
