Real simple way to eliminate any possible wiring/dash problem. Disconnect the wire from the sending unit, connect one test light lead to the positive battery terminal (engine off) and the other end to the to the now-disconnected sending unit. Test light should light. Now with engine running, repeat the process. If the light still lights up, you either have a bad sender or no oil pressure. It's that simple.
