That was one of my questions earlier... 175/80's or 185/75(70?)'s. Didn't look at 185/80's.
Since you've been using them Teddy, what kind of mileage are you getting? Did they yield any improvement in mileage?

Teddy, thanks for the offer, but I'm down south near Nashville, TN. My car is actually running pretty good for now....it cruises at 70-75 with no problems. I'm trying to keep it a bit slower on the freeway, though, to up the gas mileage, but more than once I've about been run down by some driver who is in too big a hurry to get to their desintation , so much so that they dont' seem to care what kind of havoc they cause on the roadway. I'll have to confess I've been the same way in the past, but driving a lower horsepower car can somewhat change your perspective......along with riding a bicycle out on the road, too....
I have the Douglas Touring radials from WallyWorld on my wagon now....185/70R14's on MR2 alloy rims that were acquired at Pull-A-Part.
I've been pleased with the performance, and it seems like the tread is wearing evenly. Will probably put the 13's back on this winter, as I have a more all purpose type tread on those tires. I'm going to have to paint those wheels though....they look pretty bad, even after a substantial cleaning with degreaser.
Sorry about this getting a bit "off-subject" !
Eatpants, did you ever resolve your performance problems ?? Was it in the valve timing ??
