Found a gem and brought her home...

Post by TEC3 »

So yesterday I was tagged on FB to our local Toyota dealership. A one owner, garage kept 80k, 1987 tercel. Basically perfect condition. It was an elderly couple trade in.

I will be keeping this one stock and as perfect as possible. My 83 will be the built up one. Almost done with lift and Weber install.

Wow :o It's like a time capsule! Nice find! So cool that a dealership put it in the showroom.

They had it displayed inside and on sale. It belongs In a museum. Went and test drove it and went straight to the bank to get cash.

Lucky you - Props!
Where in TN? Goldie came from Smyrna (o/s Nashville), so no salt, no rust, and just a couple of barely noticeable hail dimples.

Jefferson City, just outside of Knoxville.

Apparently it was an old rich couple and they traded it and a mid 80 diesel benz convertible.

A friend knows the sales staff and he tagged me on FB.

Appaently it had a line of people to buy it.

Well - the neat thing is - THEY are still out there!
Wonder how, in 15-20 years, our Little Girls will be featured on Hemmings or Jalopnik or Bring A Trailer or ►►►Barrett-Jackson :o  :D Auctions◄◄◄ as ''barn finds" and command big prices?
Ya think?
Hmmm - maybe my gkids will reap bigga bucks?
