My originral Tercel horn is pretty anemic.....I've installed two additional horns from a '94 Accord that my son wrecked, but it still isn't exactly what I'd like to have. Does anybody have any ideas on what kind of horn would sound good on these cars ?? I keep thinking every time I go to Pull-A-Part that some of those cars MUST have an exceptionally good sounding horn under the hood. There are all kinds of European, Japanese and domestic cars there, sports cars to work trucks.

Any suggestions ??

Find one from a Cadillac...people will think you are driving a big luxury car...at least after dark with your lights off.....

I'd like a big fat air horn to wake up the people in China from here. I think Schucks sells the whimp version of them.

:P Lots of good suggestions, guys !! Thanks ! I visited Pull-A-Part today and did some shopping.....bought a single horn off a 92 Jetta, and a dual set-up from an '86 7series BMW. I installed those on the car tonight, and I think they're going to sound pretty good. Different, anyway !

Anyone know what Jaguar horns sound like ?? There's an old coupe there, looks like it was on of the V-12's or whatever was they put in those monsters....and about all that remains is the horn setup.

Several Caddys there , too.....would love to find an old one of those like the late 50's Eldo that had the train-sounding horn !

We had a friend who mounted an actual air horn setup off of a Sante Fe locomotive on top of their Excursion... Holy Shit it was loud.

The big Detroit cars used dual tuned horns....the right ones sound pretty impressive.

Those Bimmer horns should be good.

If you want LOUD...dual air horns are it

Be sure your horn relay can handle the load though.

Ok....BMW horns are installed, but they sound pretty crappy. Somebody educate me on the basics of how much power it should take to operate 3 horns on these cars. Am I having a problem with the relay ?? Is it possible to change the relay out , put something in that will allow the horns to sound like they should ? Is there a way I can measure the voltage or wattage or amps or whatever you call it at the horn to determine if enough power is getting to them ?? I mean, BMW 7series horns should sound a lot better than a moose with a head cold trying to blow it's nose, right ??

These are Fiamm horns....and look like the ones I've seen on JCWhitney website.

Sounds like lack of power to me. Take the relay from the BMW you got the horns off of and wire the 2 setups in conjunction with one another so each powers the horn its supposed to, but both are triggered at the same time?
