Hi Folks,
I got hit again in my tercel. It is beat up and now a salvaged title. It is drivable, but I need a driver side rear view mirror to make it safe to drive. Hoping someone here can help me out, as i just cant seem to get up to the big salvage yards lately. This is the mirror with the hockey stick adjust lever.
Pm me or email me at carson.bro@gmail.com
I have for trade a new from toyota transmission output brass bushing. A solid windshield wiper wash reservoir jug. or a inclinomter in 100#% working order, minus the dash surround.

sorry to hear about your accident, CMB. that sucks.
if your car is an 84, it probably has the flip-flop side mirrors and not the fixed ones that came on 85-87s. is this correct? the two styles can be interchanged with a small modification.

Re: Need a driver side rear view SR5
it seems a shame to use a good and hard to find Tercel mirror on a very beat up and damaged car.
why not just go to an auto parts store and buy a generic mirror and mount it on the Tercel?
If you are going to restore the car so it looks good again, than a factory mirror would be warranted. but if it has become so beat up and damaged, that you are just using it as cheap transportation, there is no reason to use hard to find matching original parts.
In fact you can have some fun with it and turn it into an "art" car, hang all kinds of mis-matched parts on it, wild paint job, and other fun stuff. Makes driving a beat up damaged car less humiliating and more fun.

Hadnt thought of that Petros. Didnt occur to me that the rear view mirrors were getting scarce. I dont plan to restore it, but i figure tht when its day is done as a beat up daily driver, and someone picks it up cheap as a parts car, then the many good parts on it will fall back into circulation.

i don't think side mirrors are even remotely hard to find at this point. i threw out several of both the fixed and flip flop style when i cleaned out my tercel parts a few years ago. remember that these mirrors are the same on all second gen wagons and hatchbacks so there are still plenty kicking around.
