AAP diaph
AAP diaph
Anybody here know of a source other than the Dealer or carb kit? I've probably robbed diaphs from 4 or 5 kits already and the diaph in my '83 work beater took a dump today. Just wondering if there's an alternative to spending $30-$40 for a kit when all I need is the diaph...
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

Re: AAP diaph
sometimes rockauto.com has the kits for 15.00 but you never know when they are going to show up for that price
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

Re: AAP diaph
Ebay has them for $20 often!
(the repair kits, I mean)
I actually gave up on using the AAP. I had a brand new one installed in my 87 FWD and it went bad a few weeks later ?!
I manage to drive fine even when it is 10 degrees out...

Re: AAP diaph
you can just cap off both ends of the AAP vac line, it is only used during cold starts. After it warms up it you will never miss it.
I have bought carb rebuild kits for as cheap as $7 on-line, just to get the AAP. If you had a part number for just the AAP you might find an online supplier.

Re: AAP diaph
I've found just the AAP online for as much or MUCH more than the repair kit.
