Larry McGrath got it to work on a T4wd with almost 3 times the hp as the stock engine. I copied his flywheel and it looks like it will be fine. But I have not installed it yet, so I will have to take a closer look at it.

Using the stock 3ac flywheel means you either have to swap out the 4age 8 bolt crank for a 6 bolt crank, or weld up the holes in the 3ac flywheel, and than machine (accurately) the 8 bolt configuration. The 4age flywheel also can accommodate a larger clutch.

I have done it both ways on two flywheels, using the 4age flywheel with the smaller ring gear is much easier, and allows you to use a larger clutch that costs about the same as the stock 3ac clutch.

4age gas an eight bolt flywheel (rear end of the crank has eight bolt holes in it). odd that even the 7afe uses the same six bolt pattern as the 3ac, 4ac, and even the 4afe, so you could possibly make a 7afe fit and work in a Tercel4wd.

So to put a 4age in the Tercel, you either have to swap out the crank, or alter either flywheel, so it will work with a 3ac starter.
