It has a loose piston! Maybe he means piston slap? Unfortunately an auto.

says 87 but has the old chunky 4wd logo on the hatch and possibly the rub strips? no third brake light too so maybe 83/84. looks really clean, and fairly low km. too bad about the auto trans.

Wait- that thing's got the Euro- style rear bumper (or did you guys in Canada get the Euro bumper too?) Also the body side mldg looks like it reads "4wd" rather than "sr5" like the USA spec cars. Poss. Euro spec car?? Wish they had more pics.

that's an excellent catch, rich. that does look like a euro bumper, and our sr5's said sr5 on the rub strips just like the US ones. so maybe it is euro. i wonder why it would have been brought here though.

also, those are the wider sr5 rub strips so i wonder if it's actually a manual trans. i just emailed the seller to ask.

Hmm, I thought those rub strips said something other than SR5. From that one lonely pic the car looks to be in good shape. Too far for me to rescue and don't need another project. Come on David...temptation!

no, nothing yet, and i emailed them two days ago. they only list email for contact, no phone #. weird. i wonder if it has already sold and the seller hasn't bothered to take down the ad or let me know.

I find it very frustrating when someone posts an ad and then doesn't respond. I doubt that it's sold yet. If it does need an engine it won't move that quickly.

i had emailed the seller a second time a few days ago, still no response. then today, i found the same ad on kijiji today so i emailed them through that. this time, they got back to me within a few hours! unfortunately, all they had to say was "Looks like itsbeing sold today"
