rockauto.com does have fuel pumps starting at 20.00 (BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1518017 )
for 83-88 tercel
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

this is a common cause of confusion. toyota made the 2nd gen wagons from 83-88 but started making the 3rd gen tercel hatchbacks and coupes in 87. so there is an overlap in production years but most parts catalogues show all 87/88 tercels as 3rd gens. so if you are looking for parts for your 87 wagon, just say it is an 83-86 and you will avoid the confusion.

also, be aware that the 2nd and 3rd gens share no parts. totally different beasts.

What's everyone's favorite fuel pump on rockauto?
Didn't see BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1518017 listed under 86 tercel pumps

any brand made in Japan should be good. do not buy it if it is made in China, usually not worth the risk no matter how cheap.

Carter and Delphi are US suppliers, but these days they could buy their parts from anywhere, and put them in their box. sometimes Rockauto in the "info" tab will list where the parts are made. Also, you might try the Carter or Delphi website and look it up by the part number.
