I bought an '85 cover from rer233, so had to cut out the spot for the central brake light.
After cutting and peeling back the mousefuzz in the correct spot, I was apprehensive about using a jigsaw, so used one of these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Dremel-Carbi ... /202315728 It worked like a champ. It is just plain ideal for cutting any non-metallic material! Pricey, but wish I had one years ago.

Yes! I have some of these in my dremel tools. I would not mind at all having to make some edits to a used panel if I can find someone that has one. I can even recover it in new "gray mousefuzz" to match my car. Right now, I just would love some leads of someone that has a cover. Mine is an 84, therefore, I'd love to get a board with NO cutout for third brake light since I don't have one.
