those picture link show a T4wd with the north American type headlights (rather than Euro composite headlight), yet with the funky fender mounted (wing) rear view mirrors like Japan, and the side marker light behind the front wheel. I wonder how that car got such a mix of parts.

T valve off the ac to a tank, run impact and beadlock play.. Sawzall fenders? Half doors/tube doors and a pronet on the rear hatch. If tha 3a cant push i kno a 4a will. I am closing in on a rally beast i believe, street legal as well. Might even be able to narrow the front end of og 'turdsmell'. Now that i say it, anyone go roofless w roll cage yet?

I believe I have seen a similar Terc on YouTube. I saw a video of 4 or 5 guys in Europe some where and they chopped the back off of brown Terc and refit the backhatch right behind the front seats just like that. It actually turned out pretty interesting. They also built a steal rack/roll bar for the back and painted it bright orange (would not have been my first choice of colors).

I will do some looking on YouTube for the video and post its link. Definitely worth checking out.

Peace

Yes, but not so Euroedneck. Thanx at the same time tho, that gives me a lot to play off of.. i can pop an (that) image on a lightboard and trace/line up my own dream.. Easily!?( Trans design helps) I also plan on submitting some really rad tercel art soon. Obligated..

Otherwise, i recently purchased a subaru gl. (TO FLIP) I am already tired of seeing all the threads of lifted roos crushing it. I kno they are capable, but the feel/clunkiness bores me. I dont even want to get into this car because a. I kno i canjust waste money on this thing and have nothing to show for it,and b. i want a slightly lifted, gutted tercel to arrive on the scene, and demolish.

I kno the tight toyota feeling, and at higher revs it feeels unmatched. Thats is why im choosing to pursue this micro dream. Anyone narrow an 8inch rear and toss it on yet? Or is my math once again a product of late nights and great booze? Id think i could handle it if i lost hmmm i dunno a lot of useless weight?

Ps, petros, that looks too much like the ariel atom..

you want to full race, you might consider putting a 4age, double the hp, or go full 20 valve EFI, get almost triple the power. Both the 3a and 4ac head limit max power available. If it is going to be gutted than you can also consider an 16 valve 4afe, you need to cut a hole in the firewall for the distributor off the end of the cam, common engine, everything bolts on and lots of torque, only thing with either 4afe or 4age is you need a custom header.

so i was looking into the fourwheeler tire idea and in my short amount of reserch found out that one can buy a 14inch tire with a high enough weight rating but the bead wont fit on the car rim. so then i looked into if it would be feasible to but fourwheeler rims on a terc and found that supposedly fourwhheeler rims are a 4 x 110 bolt pattern. so i guess we'll have to put our terc heads together and figure out a good solution. if any of the things are incorrect please let me know i wont be hurt im sorta known for jumping to gun before all my facts are straight. Tercelebr8, you found a gem dont let it get away, what year is it?
why party when I can spend friday nights working on the terc

83 sr5 tercel? Im pretty sure ive seen a number of alloys for utvs tha are 4x100, but the tires are a bit taller, def need a lift, and fender trim and yes, petros, more power... which apparently makes my 4wd precious orchid balance mobile explode in one way or another, from what i hear. But, I will try it on the rite tercel when time is right..

Other wise for now it takes me away from my tercels' zen. (See zen and the tercel story)

Well not that it matters here per say, but if u came across the same conclusions as I have at this point, it is nice to kno that a 5cyl diesel Benz engine fits in the back of a tercel, for your veggie oil 4runner swap..

teh 4age has a really high rpm curve, not much power or toque at the low end. You could make it work by getting adjustable cam spockets and "de-tune" the power curve by adjusting the cam sprockets to maximum torque at lower rpm. You can go ever further by getting a programmable fuel injection ecm and optimize the low end power curve.

There are no "high torque" cams available for the 4age (I checked), as you might use in a pickup, the stock cams are about as low rpm as you can get, and peak hp occurs on those a about 7,200 rpm! all the after market cams push it even higher. the cams are a costly way to go, the adjustable cam timing sprockets are the way to do this, for far less money.
