these new shocks are 100% better than my 100% original shocks that were totally blown

I also picked up some daisys and a roof rack for ultra cheaps

the 14" miata wheels felt lighter than my OEM 13" wheels, they look great but now I have to get some caliper paint to clean up the look a bit.

next on the list will be my tie rod ends, the passenger side is totally going and I will be replacing them very shortly

Looks like you got some really nice parts put in to the Terc. Is that a DORMAN regulator for the window? Does it work nicely and built well? I am considering them for my replacement if ever needed...my factory ones are just fine though.

love the pic of the bush in the back. last spring, a large fir tree fell across our road, just up past our driveway. i put a tarp down in the back of my all trac, grabbed my chain saw and gas, bucked the tree up, threw the wood in the car, and drove it home in 4 loads. i was really proud of using my car like a pick up for the first time.

had no idea that new window regulators were still available! what was the make and part #?

yes all our cars need is a good tarp and you basically have a canopied pick up at this point lol.
I'm trying to figure our what springs to use in the rear now with the stock replacement struts, I don't mind the current ride height I just need something that won't sag so much

window regulator is a Dorman, part number 749-246
just above your comment I put the link to amazon, it got here within a week and I bought a new interior door handle from rock auto for like $3

i would just try brand new stock springs for the rear. old springs get tired and sag like crazy, both with stuff in the car and without. you could also try pathfinder springs and cutting them down, that would give you about stock ride height but a much stiffer feel in the back. after my limited experience with lifts though, i'm all about sticking with stock suspension.

Rear springs are NLA from any source, save for Pedders in OZ.

xirdneh graciously sent me out a front drivers side door handle, so this was the repair for today

you can see how badly my original door handle has come off - opening the door requires two hands (so annoying with groceries!)
Image

here's the view with the door panel off, almost looks majestic with the sun light - you can see two 10mm bolts that screw into the handle
Image

here is the new door handle on, I am soo happy its finally fixed
Image

I also purchased a new head unit; the $15 unit I purchased from china was complete balls - lesson learned. Spend money on a quality piece the first time will save you money in the long run. I also will be replacing my $20 china speakers since they cannot handle bass. This is a JVC unit that does everything except bluetooth, $80 after taxes was an okay deal, colours are adjustable so it matches the interior at night.

Image

that is pretty much it for now... I am currently saving money to redo all components linked to the front sway bar....more to come later

The BEAST ended up bottoming out trying to plow through too deep of snow today :(
The rear diff was surrounded haha, thankfully my friend and I were cruising together - and his Jeep is equipped nicely for 4xing

Here is a sweet vid of the rescue:

I have those same tires, they are actually pretty decent in snow. the problem is with 16" of wet snow, the weight of the car will be supported by the snow and no matter what type of tires you have it they will unweight and just spin. the problem is ground clearance, not traction. Heavy wet snow is always very slick to drive on, even after it is packed down.

I now have a new bumper on the Turd.
It is sporting fog lights now and all of the bumper mounting is in tact. Previous bumper support was heavily rotted, and was missing the plastic cover portion that wrapped underneath the passenger side fender. I never really took photos of that side of the car so the before/after shot is not that great.

That is really it for now, next on the list is to install a fog light switch relay, and replace the distributor o-gasket when I feel like it..its the only spot that oil slowly sweats from at this point which is great.

does anybody know where I can source headlight adjustment screws? My lights need alignment but the old screws had to be drilled out and were rusted out which goes with the theme of this build lol )
