How big can you go?

Post by VINTAGE GRUMBLE »

Hello, thinking about what tyres to run on my wagon, and was wondering how big of a tyre can be run on a std Tercel? I've been looking at a set of 27x8.5x14" tyres, and wondering if anyone else has run anything like this or larger without major lift?

Cheers, Thomas.

197/75/14 (25.5") barely fit with stock suspension. Will you be doing a lot of off roading? you will have to modify the suspension in some form to fit 27" tires.

The tyres I was looking at are 27", but measure 26" OD. I will mainly use the wagon for off roading, its kind of my weekend adventure car. I do plan on jacking it up a bit, but I dont want to do work that requires certification, as that costs quite a bit over here. I'll maybe have the coils reset and get longer shocks.
