I used that switch from the Tercel to control the fan in my Celica, the Celica came with a pulley driven fan from the factory...
If you measure the resistance through the switch, it's closed (no resistance) until about 200 degrees, when it opens. Makes controlling fans interesting (required 2 relays) but worked a lot better than aftermarket fan controllers.

Re: Electric fan.
That is a great idea, use totoya parts to do your mods, reliable parts set up.
But why two relays? not sure I understand the wiring logic.

Re: Electric fan.
The switch breaks the connection when it gets above the set point. If you use the normally closed pole of a relay (the one that is connected when the relay is not energized) it will turn the fans on when the car is off. The second relay is to cut power to the fans for when the car is off.

Re: Electric fan.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you "Teranfirbt" but I work two jobs and just finished a 8 day/night stretch. The plug at the bottom of the radiator was the one that worked its way off. With some good advice I just plugged it back in and problem solved. If I would have brought it to a garage Im sure they would have screwed me.
Thank you everyone for the help.
