high miles, or km, or whatever too. Seats look good, if he replaces the fenders and have them painted to match, than maybe.

244k km isn't bad, actually. it's about 152k miles. all of my tercs have been around 300k km (186k miles).

I would be more concerned with the condition of the underside of the car. It better be mint for that price. The salt out here kills them.

If rust had a value then he should be asking $3000...isn't rust a precious metal? HAHAHA!

Re: 1987 Tercel - Kelowna, BC $2,500
Hi guys, This is my son's car - he has 3 of these, and hoping to sell the best 2. I just posted a comment in a post near the top regarding the other one - it's another '87 in Vancouver listed for $2200. That one's in Vancouver because it's sitting on my driveway... (I'd like to see that one sell first).
- The silver one here has got some cancer for sure, but it's limited to the front fenders and driver's side rocker sill for the most part. Underneath is surprisingly clean and solid, and the car works great, very reliable. He's taking a flyer on the $2500 asking price for sure, but you never know... they are getting hard to find. He did get a fair bit of interest but hasn't sold it yet. Definitely he's negotiable on the price and is open to any reasonable offers. I think he'd be quite happy with $1800.
Thanks;
Len

Re: 1987 Tercel - Kelowna, BC $2,500
a bit high price for that much rusts. would be a good price if no rust at all, for ones in good condition without any body damage nor mechanical problems seems about $3000 is the max (occasionally one shows up for sale for more than that but I doubt it sells). might be worth $1500-1800 in that condition if there are no other mechanical issues. someone might want it for a winter beater or for vacation home local driver.
One restored from the ground up with all new everything and in perfect condition might get $10,000. but that is hardly worth the effort.

Re: 1987 Tercel - Kelowna, BC $2,500
I'd be very interested if it was priced at 1500. That drivers front fender is very rusted... I even live in kelowna
Re: 1987 Tercel - Kelowna, BC $2,500
I checked out this car and underneath the doors had a lot of rust... The car ran good but needs a new exhaust pretty badly. I was thinking of offering 1000 for it but am still on the fence because of the rust. What do you guys think? He said he'd take 1500 but i wouldn't pay that for it due to the rust. Id really like a Tercel again but i still have a good reliable car so I'm not in a rush.

i say wait. i see them come up for sale in your area pretty regularly so if you have doubts about a car or are not happy with the price, just give it a few months and another will likely pop up.

That car is definitely overpriced. Like dlb said they do come up for sale around here occasionally. How far are you willing to travel for a car? There have been some pretty sweet stateside wagons for sale.
Re: 1987 Tercel - Kelowna, BC $2,500
I'd be willing to travel for a good car but i don't want an out of province car at the moment. Too much hassel with inspections
