hoo boy.

first link: $6500 for what would have been a collector's car, but has been mangled with garbage 'mods'? crazy.

second link: a rusted beater of a truck that has been autographed by a minor celebrity has lots of 'exposure', so it's suddenly desirable? crazy.

third link: not a terrible price but i don't see how it would net $300 in scrap when it doesn't have an engine or trans. scrap metal places deal in weight, and that's half the weight of the car gone.

fourth link: super cute!

The Riley still has the twin-cam engine, which is worth a lot more than the car's price. Also kinda looks like another engine or great lump of iron in the inside.
Always liked Rileys - very interesting cars with a great pre-WII racing history, both at Brooklands, the Ulster TT, and at Le Mans.
BMW owns the trademark now.
My first published letter in Road & Track - September, 1961 - was about a July Salon feature on the 1934 9 Imp Roadster. An Imp now goes for $120-150K: http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/28314/index.html
While OT, the cover photo of that July issue featured the V-16 Auto Union GP bare chassis and engine; real car porn.
