I haven't had any time to give this car the love it deserves. And my wife won't let me drive it as she is concerned for my safety (and I have a perfectly good alternative vehicle). So, I am testing the waters. I don't really want to sell it...but here it is:

Your safety, what? What makes her think it is unsafe?

Re: My Terel on Craigslist
the ad says the car needs tires and shocks, these could make it unsafe if bad enough. Both are easy to fix and for less cost than a more modern car. If your wife thinks that airbags would make you safer than she has fallen for the propaganda and marketing of the new car makers. Airbags can also kill and injure a driver or passanger as much as save them, someting the airbag makers have been supressing by paying off the victims. I can not see how having an explosive device in front of your face improving overall safety.
With a the brake upgrade I outline over in the repair guilds section, good struts and shocks, and wider low profile tires with 6x14" alloy wheels, it will drive and stop very well. And if you want the best safety you can get install some 4 point seatbelts like used on competition cars. You are safest when you stay in your seat, the more seat belts you have holding you down the safer you will be. You can do all of this for far less than a newer car, let alone a new one. And you will not risk severe injury (or worse) from the explosive device that must be in front of your face required by federal law in all modern cars.

How about the incredibly higher visibility?
Backup cams aren't a luxury, they are required on todays tunnel vision cars.

Jean jacket seat cover? I like your style.
I also like Petros' advice. Keep that little beast.
