WANTED 4x4 Manual

Post by sarahcleveland »

I am desperately seeking a 4x4 manual transmission 5 or 6 speed Toyota Tercel 5 door. Have been looking for a while, and envious of every driver I pass. I live in Victoria B.C. but willing to travel within B.C. or further to purchase. Seeking body in good rust or near rust free condition. Low kms. Clean interior. No engine or Transmission work required. Willing to pay top dollar. Have a brand new toyota tacoma but want to sell my truck to cruise around in style.

Let me know of any leads.

welcome to the club, sarahcleveland. i live on the island and frequently check a lot of classifieds for the area, and some for vancouver and bc as well. this is the first manual trans t4 i've seen for sale in a while, and i'm not sure if it's the kind you're looking for. i'm of the belief that cars that are modded for off-roading probably go off-roading, and that's hard driving that wears stuff out really quick. i also always imagine beers and coffees getting spilled on the seats, stuff like that...not for me. but this one has had some work done on it lately so it might be worth investigating.

good luck with your search. keep checking the 'cars for sale' forum here because myself and many other members frequently post the t4 ads we come across. if you get something that needs some work done on it, i'd be happy to give you a hand at my place sometime. i love working on these cars.

I just posted this in another thread, but you might want to call this place fast: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/c ... 18790.html The ad says it's an auto, but the photos and the rest of the website says it's a standard.

it also says $1450 on the craigslist ad but only $1250 on the dealer website. looks like a decent buy at that price. traveling to the mainland to look at and maybe buy a car sucks though. i swore i would never do it again after my last experience.

Thanks for the help. I did call that guy. But it seems a bit iffy to go over on the ferry. If it was the original owner who could give me some real info on the state of the car I might feel more confident jumping on the ferry. Or if the interior and exterior were in great condition. Probably going to regret not jumping on it when it sells.
