Sounds sweet. if you can sell both, would be great. That way I have a backup, I've read those like getting broken.

Can anyone please point me where to find the AAP?

The car started dieseling and I assume its because of a bad AAP.

I'm getting a TVSV from LittleRed4wd in the next couple of weeks, and would like to sort the plugged/disconnected vacuum lines and the AAP all at the same time.

Click on the FSM (link top of this page)

go to >emission control>auxiliary systems, auxiliary acceleration pump (AAP)

even better, download the whole damn thing as a PDF. takes a few minutes but i find it way easier to navigate than the HTML version. also, if it's on your computer you can access it even if your internet is down.

AGREED!

I happen to have the books and just looked up the system in my book and found it in the FSM

Thanks for the quick answers.

Actually, I wanted to know where to find it online (the part), so I can order one.

i think you might need to order it directly from toyota, or get it in a carb rebuild kit, or pull it off a wreck. any tercel (4wd, 2wd, or hatchback) with a 3A engine should have the same AAP.

Junk yard is not an option here. Most of this cars are out there running.

Any recommendation on a parts website I can order from?

Click on "Next Image" at the top on the right side of the illustration. As I remember the AAP diaphram is the round thing with 3 holes for the screws to hold it in place. I know it's like 30 bucks but if you cannot FIND just the AAP part at least you have that AND all you'd need to rebuild the thing.

Bringing this thread bad from the dead :)

Can someone please tell me where those two go?

I did not find them on the diagrams nor browsing online :(

And not the circled one, the small diaphragm on the air filter box:

Thanks!

The nipple on the air filter housing goes to the HIC valve, but the nipple is broken. I circled it here in blue:

What you circled in red goes to a large nipple at the base of the carb, drivers side. Will see if I have a picture somewhere.

Thanks!

Am I crazy? Or this isn't shown clearly in the FSM?
