that looks awesome! very nice wheels. body looks sleek without the rub strips. did you repaint the window frames? usually they partially flake off and the rest is a pain to remove.

I'd love to remove Goldie's rub strips, but the prob with the SR5 strip, unlike the DLX strips, is that they are also held on with darts (or integral bolts?), leaving many holes to be filled and painted - and 26-year old unobtainium paint just ain't gonna do it - short of repainting the whole car.

tom, the rub strips on ron were fastened only with glue. maybe they changed this for the '87/'88s.

they did change it, the ealier strips used these plastic clips that goes through holes in the door. The 87 and 88 went to glue on strips, they also have a different style.

Tom,
There are specialty paint shops that will mix the original color and put in a pressurized spray can for you. I have used these guys (link below) and am happy with the results. they charge about $25 to mix it up and put in a spray can for you. I would not buy anything else from them because their primer and clear coat are more costly than you can buy locally.

There is nothing on the left side of the windshield, so i guess it's the original.. on the otherside.. my spare-parts-car have the antenna placed on the left side of the windscreen

He right Petro , I have same kind that came from 88 model , also other 2 steering wheels from 1983-84 which are same as European T4WD has except center cap are different. One of them is in my car now which you already see it .The hand grip on steering wheel is larger than normal . I guess Canada are like European because we have Queen Elizabeth II on our money .
Yesterday, I check out 1988 steering wheel which it king of weird , it actually same style but only 2 spoke instead of three :?

The windowframes are 100% original. We had a -84 corolla diesel in the family, and it looked terrible, flakes all over..
