What do you have in mind? That is the way I am going, and to a more modern engine design as well in the 4age. The 3ac was obsolete when it was put in production. Everyone else had already had more advanced 16-valve engines with EFI before the 3ac in production, both by toyota's competitors and by Toyota itself. The same size contemporary honda carb engine but out 20+ more hp and was a 16-valve design. The 4af and 4af was already in production at the time the TErcel was getting the 3ac.
I would not try and adapt the multi-port injection to this engine, too much work. The early throttle body injectors are a good bet, somewhere in the archives is instructions to adapt a TBI from a Suzuki swift/Geo Metro to this engine. Your other options are to do an engine swap (or a head swap) with a 4afe or 4age (both have been done before). But both have special problems requiring a custom header, high pressure EFI fuel system and a number of other mods. But I think it is well worth the effort.
Good luck.

Re: thinking of going from carbys to fuel injection
I would be interested in swapping my carburetor (on a 3ac) to fuel injection.
A head swap to a 4**** sounds like more effort than I want to expend.
An engine swap to a 4afe or 4age would be even more effort and expense, considering I've had the engine rebuilt 30,000 miles ago, and the head gasket replaced just out of warranty.
I can not find the thread on the TPI from a Geo Metro / Suzuki Swift. I've searched directly on the site, with yahoo & google, but no luck

Re: thinking of going from carbys to fuel injection
Thanks,
I read the tread, lot's of I'd like to.... can I........ Maybe you can.........
But no hard info on carb to efi (tbi) swapouts
If it's possible, and a viable option it should part of the FAQ and linked to definitive info.
I'm smart enough to do it, but not figure out how to do it from scratch.

Re: thinking of going from carbys to fuel injection
I did a completely custom EFI setup on mine using CBR 600 throttles running Megasquirt. There are some pictures in my thread in member profiles, let me know if you have any questions.
