'83 SR5 eBay Boise ID EXTREMELY Clean

152K miles - OE sunroof and mag wheels - working AC -OE upgrade radio/deck. Many photos and video link. No apparent rust - even underneath! Unbelieveably clean for a car that's been actually driven - true!

i'm not trying to blow smoke up anyone's ass, just wanted to note that at the :15 mark in the video you can see rock chips in the hood paint and that there is either a ding or some rust on the rear passenger side door, close to the wheel well. also, it looks like the gas tank was overfilled and it spilled all down the side by the gas cap--not an issue in itself but why wouldn't the seller have cleaned that up before taking photos?

regardless of these things, the car looks super nice. i sure hate the stock stereos though.

I did not look at the video - for some $#%&*^# reason they (all) only load 4-5 seconds at a time.
As far as the fuel stains go - Goldie has them, as do many of our cars. When I claybarred her a couple of years ago, the stains, while greatly reduced, are still there. I'd guess our fuel just affected '80s Toy paint that way.
I did send a note to the sellers asking them to advise the new owner of our Club (with links) - and it was posted in the "Questions" area for all viewers to see!
This will be an interesting sale as there is no Reserve posted, unlike with other recent clean T4WDs; it's at $1225 as of this writing with 4+ days to go...

that's weird, i've never seen gasoline stains before. just fresh ones when people overfill. maybe i'm super young, or i just never really looked or cared before.

I'll step in here on the Clay Bar as that happens to be what I sell!

Clay bar is an old trick used by body shops to knock down over spray. Turns out, detailers can also use it to remove the embedded particulate that gets stuck on a paint surface. Check out here for more info. (disclaimer, yes, I am am the customer service manager for Griot's Garage!)

Claybarring a car is totally tedious, even with little guys like our cars.
Having said that - it is one of the more rewarding things I've done to a car's finish - and I DO go back a few years!
I did this to Goldie in May of 2006 and the finish is still great! You simply cannot believe the crud that a clay bar will remove!
Using the bar does remove any old wax as well, so you have to rewax the car. After using the bar, I used a cleaner and then a nice paste wax, following up with a buffer. And the finish, much to my amazement, is still good - after 5 years!
I live in a 'burb of StL, so the car is not subject to salt air or industrial pollution.
Honestly - do it and you will be amazed! I wish this would have existed back in the '50s and those hours and hours and hours of struggling with that MEGA-PITA Simoniz paste!

Sold for $3277 - anyone here?
Hopefully the new owner will join us - the seller said he would tell the buyer about us.

For some reason this car reminds me of the Pastore Mac '83 SR5 two-tone wagon. I guess there is an increasing market for these sub-200k mile Tercel wagons. I wonder if this trend is going to continue permanently? Only time will tell...

I still wish the owner of that $10K, 37K miles, eBay car from NC would contact us.
