Little far from Edmonton. I would love to take a look at it. It wouldn't be the first car I have liberated from BC.

the price is now down to $1700. toughtercel took a look and said one of the CVs clunked, it burned a bit of oil, there is rust starting in the rear wheel wells, and it had a big leak that pooled in the spare tire well. looks pretty nice actually but once the rust starts...

here are TT's pics of it.

OK - I realize this is OT, but - look at toughtercel's last pix of the DS door: I've always wondered - what the heck would be the purpose of the 5 slots in the lower left of the door? I can't imagine they are for ventilation, so ...?

They allow moisture to evaporate so it doesn't rust out the door. Most cars also have holes in the bottom of the door for water to run out.
It's a scientific fact that in a twin engine aircraft, when one engine fails there is always enough power in the remaining engine to make it all the way to the crash site.

I wish the interior in my silver '85 was as clean as this one. It looks nearly as mint as the Diary Queen Tercel, too bad I never got the chance to see that one in person.

what happened to the dairy queen terc, was it up for sale at some point? i must have missed that part of the story.

Remember, though, tercel4wdrules - the interior in that DQ ad car was washed in suds and beaucoup water - probably more than once...
Wonder what the floor looks like under the mats nowadays. Film crews generally are not too caring about the cars they work with - that ain't what they are being paid to do...
