Looks very clean, but does asking price seem steep? Perhaps this it what very nice examples could fetch.

Well - if it sells for that, I think it would be a record.
I wonder if the trans is really "new" as the seller claims. I think I'll send an email.

Re: WOW...$4,500
I saw this car parked out on the street one afternoon, it has to be. The paint was shiny and had alloy wheels. That's a lot of money for that car though. I passed by it and when I had just passed it I realized what it was and looked back thru my side view mirror and I recognized it was a T4WD .

Re: WOW...$4,500
Considering costing alot of money , he had lots of parts replaced , my guess all PARTS approx cost(Brakes- $150,rear end-$150,Clutch-$150,Alternate-$150,Starter-$150,Muffler-$120,Water Pump-$60,Shock strut mount -$ ??, Battery-$100, many other parts $150-200 , = $1,200 plus WITHOUT LABOR COST ,if all done recently ) like buying a car and drive without any stress of repair and possibly rust free car . Don't forgot I didn't add $$$ on paint and labor .
$ 4,500
(-)$ 1,500 (parts)
(-)$ 800 (paint)
(-)$ 2,200(Labor)

Re: WOW...$4,500
wait, look the in the upper right photo--the bumper is all pushed in in the middle. looks like a hitch is installed there but i don't understand why one would collapse the bumper for that.

Re: WOW...$4,500
Well - I sent the seller a polite email on Saturday asking about sourcing for the "new" trans, and whether it was a reman or a salvage one, mentioning that many of us would be interested.
I also included info about the Club, requesting that he pass it on to the eventual purchaser.
In all, a totally innocuous message - but as of today, two days later, he has yet to respond... I didn't mention anything about the bumper, thinking the omission would help elicit a reply.
