Right corner signal light in Vic

Post by scotisha »

Hey all,

Someone wants my clear 2wd corners which don't quite fit right on the 4wd so I am looking for a right signal/corner light to replace it. Anyone in Vic have one kicking around?

I might have one, it is all amber. I am only one international border (and a ferry ride) away from you. Perhaps if you make to the Everett area soon we can meet and I can bring it.

Hey Petros,

I have a pretty busy summer coming up so I don't think I will be able to make it down there (plus I still have to get a passport). I will pm you my address and if you could ship it that would be great. I can send you a cheque for the light and postage.

shipping would be pretty costly, even just across puget sound, because it is "international". I can send something to Hawaii or New York cheaper than I can send something to Victoria or Vancouver. I will check with the post office tomorrow when it is open.

Just to make sure, you want the right corner marker light (not the signal light, which is the one in the bumper under the headlights), style as pictured here (but the one on the other side, passenger side):

hey scotisha, just north of mill bay on the highway there is a japanese auto wrecker called bob & john's. they have an 83 or 84 SR5 terc there that might have what you're looking for. it's a 45 minute drive from downtown vic so if you can get the part there it would probably save you on shipping.

Turns out shipping from where I live to Victoria BC is only about $4 for an 8 oz package (lens by itself weighs 5 oz). So shipping is not so bad after all. I once checked into shipping of a larger box to Alberta or somewhere similar, and it was about $45 for only 14lbs. Not worth it.
