My left side CV boot is shot and I can feel and hear the click-click/clunk-clunk noise when I turn. I have a couple of parts cars to pull from. My question is, are the right and left axles the same? Can I use a right side axle and just change hubs?

I don't think they're identical.

Logically, they would be, but I think they are slightly different.

If anyone else has any other info, please feel free.

They are totally different lengths for each side - definitely not interchangable.
