would like to try an engine swap (dunno with what yet though), FWD->RWD conversion, rear drum->disc brakes among other fun and funny things...

got excessive access to parts so suggestions/tips/detailed info are always welcome regarding aforementioned planned changes

Just bought '83 AL-25 SR4 Manual 4WD Wagon. some body work ahead but mostly I need to breath life back into the engine.

86 4WD Tercel Wagon, 6 speed, 246,000 miles, 90 mile round trip commute to Seattle every day. Rain/Snow/Ice whatever, never missed a day of work due to the car. 27-30 MPG.

3 parts cars. 2-"83s", 1-"85" Tercel 4WD Sta Wags. Both of my boys (ages 10 and 12) learned to drive in one of the 83's last year.

Tercels owned: 1985 SR5 6spd 4WD Wagon, all original, except for the CD player my son had installed when he bought the car 2 yrs ago. Now that we found him the car of his dreams ( 1991 300ZX ), I'm taking this one over for my primary driver. 137,500 miles, one owner trade-in at the Volvo dealership in Nashville, original owner somewhere in southwest KY. Paid $625, and probably spent $1200 in repairs and new tires. It's been painted on the left side up to the roof, and the hood, and it's all faded and flaking off, but the right side still looks really good. There's only minor surface rust under the lower molding on the left rear window. I'm trying to decide which way to go on the paint....either back the original gold ? or to camo the thing in either woodland or RealTree. Any suggestions ??

Other cars owned: 1997 Pathfinder, and 1980 LUV Mikado 4WD.....anybody know where I can find a dashpad for that ??....1981 Honda Prelude (unfortunately and AT ), 1999 Tahoe

I own the 57.594th Tercel 4WD.
Type AL25, engine 3A (no emission stuff), 6-speed.
Formerly with a supercharger (broke...)
Ported and decked head, additional supension springs etc...

Will soon need engine job as one cylinder begins to no longer compress.
Total Km/milage unknown but 260.000Km (160.000Mi) of short trips since I know the car.

Cool! What supercharger did you use? How did you set it up? Did you convert to EFI (electronic fuel injection)? Please share the details.

Currently own 1985 Toyota Tercel SR5 wagon with sunroof, 103k miles. Was bought in mint condition with no rust and only 50k miles on it, but 2 harsh Minnesota winters with no garage put an end to that. Needs a carb rebuild, and new valve stem seals. I call it the POWA WAGON for obvious reasons.

Had a 1981 FWD 2 door Tercel in high school back in the early 90's. Great car.
