You're probalby going to have a difficult time if you stay with the 13's. Places like Wal-Mart and Sam's carry a pretty good selection, but not in 13's.....you'll have to go up to a 14" wheel, most likely. Specific tire stores could probably order something for you. I'm not sure what sites online would be good to search.
BTW, nice looking car !!

Re: All Terrain Tires for 84 4WD
Go here:
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/assets/p ... _ta_kd.pdf
You would get the 27x8.50R14/C size. The approved rim width for this is a 14"x6.0-7.5" rim. The Stock Number is 439-838. All the other specifications are on the page. You can buy the tire on this page:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1. ... e&x=44&y=9. If you want another all-terrain tire you could go with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T. If you want a mud-terrain tire, go with the KUMHO Venture MT. For this tire, order size: 27x8.50QR14. For that tire, a 14x6" Volkswagen 4Lug x 100mm steel or alloy rim will work. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Check out the 13" and 14" snow tires here:

Some of them look like they might do well off-road.

The secret here is to look for rally tires, not all-terrain tires. All-terrains are going to be built by tire size vs vehicle capability. Most people that have vehicles which use a 175-70-13 will NOT be taking that vehicle mudding, ergo will NOT need big open lugs on tires. Check out a good rally tire like Falken tires or Kumho ECSTA R700. They're used commonly on impreza's and such for dirt/light mud dakar-esque racing.

I have some more info on tires. I did some hunting around and i found that http://www.high-tec-retreading.com Makes tires for the USPS in a 195/70/14 . They are an All-Terrain tire in the Cooper AT-C tread. These are retreads, yeas, but these guys do REALLY high quality work. If you maintain your tires properly, you will not have ANY problems with them. Ive heard of guys running their stuff on evrything from the beach to the highway to rubicon in MUCH heavier vehicles than ours.
Go to this link and scroll down to the Cooper AT-C. http://www.high-tec-retreading.com/sizes.html
They dont list the tire size on the site because they pretty much only sell them to the post office., butt hey are readily availible and shipped to your door for a mere $42 a peice. (in the states)

Re: ALL-TERRAIN TIRES
Well, I suppose 2" would be enough for those tires.... I'm planning, hopefully, to go 4" like an Ontarian guy did....Aldavr6 wrote:What about the suspension? do you have to raised it?
