This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

'87 DLX eBay 37K MILES ! ! !

Post by ARCHINSTL »

Well - here it is - I'd guess this is the record for low mileage (I think the previous holder was that red Wagon in Boulder with 75K a couple of years ago?).
It's in the Washington, D.C., area.
It's up to $3100 already, with 4 days to go.
It is a MT with AC.
The seller is a real "dealer," and has a list of provisos and caveats and "outs" a mile long...but he has lots of pix of a really clean car.

EDIT - and apologies to ozarksjl...
His recently acquired AT has but 32K...

So that's what the inside of a T4WD is supposed to look like?

Well - it went for $4050 !
I sent the seller an email to advise the lucky bidder of the Club, but no answer as of yet.
There is no bidder ID on the auction, either.

Well - it's been relisted because of a deadbeat bidder.
Now without a starting price, but with a Reserve of ? . Bid up to $835 as of the moment.

My tercel:: Sold my 1987 Tercel Dlx 4x4 Wagon but miss driving it everyday. I don't miss working on it, though.

I think the additional costs associated with buying this car make it out of my price range, if the prior bidding was any example.
The good thing is that seeing that car makes me think many others like it, or nearly like it, are out there, somewhere.
By that I mean relatively low mileage cars in good condition. Just missed one myslef last week in Denver where a cherry red 88 with 100k went for only $1300.
