i drive nonstop 20 miles to work in the morning (no problem)
i drive home in the evening (no problem)
i drive a short distance (warm or barely warm engine) leave the car sit for one hour and when i take off it falls on its face. i cannot tell if the ignition stops or the flow of gas stops. if i drive slow it will keep going and if it dies i can restart it and manage to get where i want to go (slowly).
when i do get it up to speed the engine will feel erratic then nothing (total loss of power)
the weather has been 30-36 degrees lately but it did it now and then last summer too.
i changed carborators recently (no difference)
odd symptoms

odd symptoms
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
Ignitor? Maybe?
How is your distributor shaft doing? Playing the wobble game?
It might be worthwhile to do a single-advance dizzy and work with that. Not horribly expensive either. Save money versus a double-advance.
If you replaced the carb and it didn't help, I'd blame ignition.

Gas cap? Fuel filter? I once owned a Falcon that would just stop now and then...you'd have to wait 2-3 minutes and to restart it. I sold it.

Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.
