I want to put 15" rims on my wagon (I have a set of 15" snow tires in my basement, only 1 season old). Can I use any wheel with a 4x100mm bolt pattern? Are there any issues with offset and hub centre size? I've been told that Civics, old VWs, etc. all have this bolt pattern. If I try to order steel wheels through Walmart or somewhere, should I just tell them I have a Honda Civic?

Do a search on this forum. There is another thread that has lots of info on wheels on here. I'd try looking for alloy wheels at wreckers if I were you. At the right wrecker you'll be able to get a pretty good deal.

Of the top of my head: I believe that the wheels on the MR2 Supercharged are 15". I also believe the bolt pattern is 4x100mm. You will probably have a pretty tough time finding a set though.

4x100mm is a really popular size, so like you say, I'm sure you can find a set from a different auto manufacturer.

Keep us updated. ;)

Thanks GTS,
I found that thread and it sounds like pretty much anything 4x100 can be used. Looks like Toyota's have the smallest hubs, so no worries there. The search begins! I'll warn you though - I may cop out and just buy new steel wheels. ;)

Hey GTS,
I found some pictures of your camping trip in BC - is that your silver wagon with the nice wheels? Are they 15"s? What were they from? They look perfect on the car.

Yup, that is my car. Those are 14" rims off a fwd Corolla GTS. I have 55 series tires on them which make the rim look bigger (they are Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s).

Unless you want to go with tires that have a outer diameter that is way larger than stock, I would recommend going no larger than 14" rims. A 185/60R14 tire will have the same outer diameter as the stock tercel tire sizes.

I posted a thread on this forum somewhere with way more pictures of my car that show closer pictures of the rims (and other parts), not sure how to post the link though. You can also check the 'Member Profiles' thread to see specs on peoples cars.

I'd like to see somebody try the Escort GT 15" alum wheels...pretty sure they'd fit.
