Wow! After much effort with the o.e. carb the best it would ever do is 23mpg. Now, the wife's new job has caused her to rack up 30,000 miles in less than a year shortly after installing the weber. Out of box weber and no other tuning brought it up to 31. Finally did some math on this. My figures are based on a fuel price of 2.25 per gal. to lean on the conservative side. 759 bucks! Change that to 2.60 per gal it jumps to 876! I knew right away it would be substantial, just too lazy to get out the calculator till now. Wish I had installed it much sooner, as idling is just as nice as good gas mileage.
Now I just have to get off my butt and jet it up a bit. The redline kit needs to be richened up a tiny bit for my engine/climate/fuel. Hopefully the jet kit will pay for itself quickly also!(when I get around to it)
First priority though is getting the wife a cheap accord to drive into the ground so I can take back the terc. She broke 200k on it not too long ago and I cannot let this ridiculous amount of mileage kill my car! It took me ten years, ten years ago to hook up with one of these(in my price range) and it isn't getting any easier to find them.
My weber paid for itself in less than a year

Maybe I need a Weber.... I'd have to contact them about my altitude though I suppose.
Grats!
That much of a difference?
30k miles- 23mpg=1304.348 gallons
30k miles- 31mpg=967.742 gallons
Difference of 336.606 gallons
2.25/gal=$757.364.
Well I'll be damned it is that much. For some reason that seemed off to me. Sorry to question your math there.

XLNT thread - Thanks!
Those of you who have - ummm - purchasing managers - will find this quite interesting. Even those who drive much less than 30K a year can use this as ammunition.
With all of the talk about Webers, you are the first to put pencil to paper and prove that it is fiscally prudent. With the price of fuel only continuing to escalate, it will make even more sense as time goes by.
