This picture was on the Fox News homepage this afternoon. These things are everywhere !! The picture is of British soldiers at a security checkpoint in Iraq.

(Some) windows are up - functioning AC ?
Toyota did make something on the order of 1.2 million of them - although that may be a combined 4WD and 2WD figure.

Hahahaha.... I dunno... 260+k a year every year from 83 to 88? 1.3million plus?
JT2AL35W6E0128849....... So is a JT2AL35W6E0 (or was it JT2AL35WE06?) purely a 4wd unit? If so, then my model would constitute at least 128,849 in 84. Though I know there were more...

Having been in Iraq/Kuwait for the 1st Gulf war and done gov't security, I'm almost sorry to say that my caption would be along the lines of:

"Get your hand off that door handle, I don't feel like finding out what kind of IED you've rigged to the interior light."

A bullet may have your name on it, but shrapnel is addressed, "To whom it may concern"!!
