Oh yeah!! The housing is going INSANE. 3 bedroom homes in Pine Mountian Club are going for around $400,000. There going to bring tract housing in down by the freeway. Something like three or four tracts with 700 or 800 homes each. I usually work down towards L.A., one of the advantages for me was no traffic after Valencia, so much for that....

wow!!! I used to own a house on whispering pines road in Pinon pines it faces Cuddy valley road. Would love to see what it looks like now. Next time I visit, I will try and head up that way.
I was out there last year in LA and could not believe the traffic in I5 in Valencia. used to be wide open when I lived up there except for holidays. Can you still access the old road from castaic to 3 point rd and bypass the freeway. that was a fun drive and usually some wheeling as it was not maintained by Cal Trans. several rock and mud slides along that route. If you have never taken it. its worth the drive. I think it has some kind of record for bends has like 350 turns in 20ish miles... there was a push to make it a historic landmark because it was the only connection between LA and the central valley before the freeway was built.

I know whispering pines. I used to live on Pinetree and then on Snowline up in Pinon Pines. I've taken the Old Rigde Route a few years ago. The heavy rains over the last few years have made it real bad, almost impassable. They've built tract housing almost all the way from Castaic to Templin Highway on the old road, so it's in real good shape. There is a group getting real serious about restoring the Old Ridge Route, let's see what happens. If you want, give me your old address, I'll snap a pic, and PM it to you.
