Vent controls
My fan is only blowing out the dash vents no matter where the control is. I'm assuming the cables are broken...Is there a way to manually, under the dash to make the air come out the defroster? Any ideas would help....

I have a feeling that the cable casing slipped in its retainer (or the little loop on the end of the inner wire slipped out of the tang on the lever flap). The controls are a real PITA to adjust, particularly the clamp gizmo on the vent control wire casing. You need fingers as flexible as ET's, made from steel, and their strength must be as of three...
