question about bolt size

Post by T-Bone »

I was wondering what the size is of the drain plug and the fill plugs for the front diff? I wanted to check my front diff fluid level and I cant seem to find the right size socket for it.

Are they metric? Most of the others are. I don't remember what type I used when I changed mine.

I use either a 6 point socket or a box end. Main thing is to use something that fits snug...there isn't a lot of surface for the wrench to hold. Think there is an SAE size that fits.
